I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Be The Match organization, bethematch.org, for finding a bone marrow donor for me. They are also a nonprofit organization whose only interest is to help people in need. I encourage everyone to get on the bone marrow registry. All it takes is obtaining a sample of your saliva with a swab. Be The Match will analyze it and add your biological profile to their database. With the chances of donating about 1 in 430, you can see the need for a lot of people to be on the registry!
